The municipality of Baskinta is located in the Kaza of Matn one of is one of the eight mohafazats (governorates) of Lebanon. Baskinta is 43 kilometers (26.7202 mi) away from Beyrouth (Beirut) the capital of Lebanon. It's elevations is of 1210 meters (3970.01 ft - 1323.256 yd) above sea level. Baskinta surface stretches for 3450 hectares (34.5 km² - 13.317 mi²) .
