The municipality of Sinn El Fil is located in the Kaza of Matn one of is one of the eight mohafazats (governorates) of Lebanon. Sinn El Fil is 6 kilometers (3.7284 mi) away from Beyrouth (Beirut) the capital of Lebanon. It's elevations is of 35 meters (114.835 ft - 38.276 yd) above sea level. Sinn El Fil surface stretches for 231 hectares (2.31 km² - 0.89166 mi²) .

Location
Decentralized cooperation
- Agreement between Minister of Environment Rahhal and nine municipalities to increase green space
New parks will be built in nine municipalities around Beirut. This is the project that was announced yesterday by Minister Mohammad Rahhal, during a press conference which was held on the occasion of the signing of agreements with the presidents of these municipal councils.
- PAMLED Cooperation Project
This project aims at Building effective partnerships among European and Mediterranean municipalities for promoting the local economic development. Purpose is to strengthen role of Mediterranean and European municipalities in the management of local development.
- Program to support projects of local authorities in the post-conflict period (Embassy of France in Lebanon)
Given the scale of destruction that has hit Lebanon in the summer of 2006, the Embassy of France has created an emergency fund to support programs of decentralized cooperation and to finance projects proposed by the French territorial communities in the post conflict actions. This fund was endowed with 300,000 €. The aim was to encourage, in a cooperative approach, the rapid implementation of concrete projects that respond to immediate needs of populations and / or municipalities affected by the conflict in an emergency and post-conflict context.
- Med’Pact Cooperation Program
Med'Pact is a program that aims at fostering dialogue and cooperation among cities and civil Mediterranean organizations. Purpose is to provide mutual understanding and promote social and cultural rapprochement between the European Union and the Mediterranean partner countries.
