Fight against global warming - Issues & Debates - French Development Agency (FDA)

This work is primarily an attempt to conclude the issues and debates on global warming phenomenon, where emphasis on the North / South dimension of this challenge is considered as it not limited to specific areas only. It is also an attempt to joint reflection in this issue. Different departments of the French Development Agency are variously involved in the fight against global warming.

    There are many signs of recognition of the ecological (or environmental)quality products. Some correspond to simple self-reports from the companies that generate or market the products. Others, called eco-labels correspond to statements whose compliance is verified by an accredited inspection body.

  • IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) wants to advocate for the sources of renewable
    Encouraging the flow of oil, gas or coal to wind, solar or hydropower in order to combat climate change, in addition to increasing access to energy and fight against poverty. This is the purpose of establishing the new international agency IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency), dedicated to the use of renewable energy. This challenge is being jointly dealt with by 136 countries from the north and the south.

    A recent study initiated by the Regional Agency of Environment and New Energies of Ile-de-France shows that in some contexts, the question of rainwater repossession (REP) appears as a complementary solution for drinking water and its use in agriculture.
