Mohafazah of North-Lebanon is one of the eight Lebanese mohafazat. It consists of six kaza, Batroun, Bcharreh, Koura, Minieh-Danniyeh, Trablous and Zgharta. Trablous (Tripoli) is the administrative center of the North-Lebanon mohafazah and the second largest city in Lebanon.
There is seven federation of municipalities and 136 municipalities in the mohafazah. In the last municipal elections (2004), the mohafazah of North-Lebanon counted 772 810 resgitered voters of which 439 018 voters. [1]
