Twinning agreement between Italian Calasetta Municipality and Municipality of Haret Saida -
1 April 2011This is the first project of its kind to sign a twinning agreement between a European municipality and the municipality of Haret Saida. A delegation from the «Union of Sardinia Municipalities» in Italy visited Lebanon yesterday, at the invitation of the Municipality of Haret Saida.

21 April 2009The recruitment of resident teachers for six schools affiliated to the Agency of French Education Abroad (AEFE) in Lebanon started in early January 2009. Project of Intervention of Mine Risk Education and strengthening of social activities in South Lebanon -
25 March 2009The objectives of this project is to contribute to the rapid post-conflict recovery in 4 Caza in the Mohafazah of South Lebanon and Nabatiyeh, addressing two main problems : a) risk of UXO/mines that threatens mostly those groups whose houses and camps were bombarded and who depend on these belongings for their survival; b) victims of UXO/mines to be supported psychologically and with services, potentially addressing their socioeconomic insertion.

“Peace path through Cinema” – Trip to Italy (UNDP) -
26 November 2008From the 14th to the 26th of November 2008, Lebanese youngsters from South Lebanon, members of the youth groups established by UNDP South Lebanon office, went for a mission to Italy in the cities of Gorizia and Venice as part of the UNDP Art Gold program. Nine youngsters from Lebanon and nineteen from Italy aged between 18 to 25 years old attended an intercultural workshop entitled “Peace path trough cinema” where the youngsters were initiated to cinematographic technical basis to create, manage and realize a film. The project helps the youngsters to reflect on peace inside schools, society, and human relationships through the cinematographic language.

Euromed Youth Action, Phase III -

1 August 2005The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEES), has developed a project "Support for the renovation of the French teaching at the Lebanese University (UL), the only public free and secular university in Lebanon. It has about 72 000 students (over 50% of the student population) and 4200 teachers. 65% of students receive their bilingual studies in French and Arabic.
